Terms & Conditions of booking

Private Swims

​


The Hirer, on payment of their private swim, has agreed that they have fully read and understood these Pool Hire Terms & Conditions And Safety Policy.

​

All Users when attending the facilities of Kerrs Road Pool, both the pool house and associated parking, must abide to these Terms and Conditions/ Safety Policy without exception.

​

Session: Each session is for a period of 70 minutes inclusive of time spent entering and changing.   Facilities must be strictly vacated by the end of the session booked in a timely manner.  If you arrive late for your session, it still ends 70 minutes from the start of your booking time, not your arrival time.  The owners have the right to enter the building at any time if there is a valid reason to do so in relation to safety or time keeping.

Cancellation:If Kerrs Road Pool cancel your Session, where the Facilities cannot be used for reasons beyond reasonable control such as emergency maintenance, water below quality or breakdown of equipment, then a full refund will be repaid to the Hirer.


Liability:  Kerrs Road Pool does not accept liability for any loss or damage suffered by the Hirer or users arising out of any breach by the Hirer or its Users. This does not exclude Kerrs Road  Pool’s statutory liability for any loss or damage arising out of any negligence identified on its part.  The Hirer is responsible for all costs incurred by the owner through misuse of the pool or failure to adhere to the Pool Rules or any of the terms of these conditions and agreement.

There is CCTV around the external property of the house, pool house and grounds of the owner.  This is installed to keep the house and surrounding building safe and secure.  It is on 365 days of the year and runs 24hours.   Therefore users of the pool will be recorded driving to the property, parking, entering and leaving the pool house.

Hygiene & Pool Cleanliness

Poor hygiene increases the risk of contamination or ill

 

  • Shower Requirement:

    • All individuals are required to take a shower before entering the pool to remove dirt, oils, and sweat from their bodies.  It is recommended that a shower is taken after your swim.

  • Swimwear:

    • Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times. No loose clothing or clothing that could cause contamination should be worn in the pool.  Only proper swimwear is allowed in the pool water. As well as for hygiene non swim wear will block the filters.

  • Swim Nappy and Incontinence Requirements

    • All children, babies, and individuals who require them, must wear appropriate swim nappies or incontinence products specifically designed for use in swimming pools to help maintain water hygiene and safety

    • No jewellery is allowed in the pool, please remove prior to your swim.

 

 

Solo swimmers

 

  • All solo swimmers must inform the pool owner of their intent to swim solo and then to complete the Pool Disclaimer and Assumption of Risk for Kerrs Road Pool form prior to their swim.

 

 

General Safety Rules

 

  • Prohibited Activities:

    • Running around the pool is strictly prohibited due to wet & slippery surfaces. Spillage are swept up between swim slots so therefore it is your responsibility to ensure there is no running during your pool slot.

 

  • Diving. The  minimum depth for diving is 1.5 m. Kerrs Road Pool is 1.2 to 1.4 meter so therefore diving is prohibited.

 

  • No one under the age of 16 years of age should be in the pool area without a responsible adult present.

 

 

 

Supervision:

  • Kerrs Road Pool is not lifeguarded. The person or organisation booking the pool is fully responsible for the safety, supervision, and behaviour of all bathers at all times.

 

  • The person who made the booking is responsible for providing continuous and effective supervision of all bathers while they are in the water.

 

  • The person making the booking must ensure there are sufficient adults present to safely supervise all children, taking into account their age, swimming ability, and any additional needs.

 

  • The maximum number of pool users is 6 (this includes babies) and the maximum number of spectator in the pool house is two.This ensures good visibility of all swimmers.

 

  • Floatation devices, toys, and other aids should be used responsibly and under constant adult supervision.

 

 

 

 

Emergency Equipment:

  • A suitably stocked first aid kit is located on the windowsill in the poolhouse. Any incidents or accidents in the pool area must be reported immediately to the pool owner. 

  • A  rescue pole is available at the poolside.

  • The Emergency plan is up on the notice board for everyone and was sent to you in your Terms and Conditions of pool booking.

 

 

Illness or Infection:

 

  • Do not swim if you feel unwell.

 

  • Individuals experiencing gastrointestinal illness or open wounds should refrain from using the pool.

  • Those with skin infections or rashes should avoid using the pool until cleared by a healthcare professional.
